David's life to date has certainly been unique. After making a positive change in his life having grown up in an area where crime was normalised and giving up a career job to follow a dream to join the Armed Forces in 2009, his life went from escorting Her Majesty the Queen on Ceremonial State occasions, to suddenly having to fight for his life – waking up in an intensive care ward, missing a large portion of his skull due to having suffered a brain injury, to only months later landing a starring role at the opening and closing of the 2012 Paralympic games in London.
David is now delivering motivational talks and empowering educational workshops to allow others to positively impact on their own lives in a way they never knew possible. Learning to live with a disability has equipped David with the tools to turn post traumatic stress into post traumatic growth and he has made it his sole mission to help others create the same shifts in their own lives, leaving them more resilient both professionally and personally but more importantly living happier and more fulfilling lives.
David has presented to a wide range of clients, including blue chip
companies such as Shell UK, Russell&Bromley and Vodafone, and City firms including
Rathbones and M&G Investments. He is also passionate about speaking to schools and
charitable organisations. He has most recently presented at a TED talk on finding life through Gratitude & Daily Reflection.
